LSJ lexicon (1996 supplement): lists 'source' as possible meaning (for rivers) and 'noblest part' — does not cite any NT passages
Mike arrives at the one lexicon egalitarians rely on most.
The LSJ (Liddell-Scott-Jones, 1996 supplement) lists 'source' as a possible meaning in reference to rivers, and 'of the noblest part.' It does not assign either meaning to any NT passage and does not deal with specific scripture passages in its kephale entry. This is the only lexicon of 15 surveyed that provides 'source' as a possible meaning.
