1 Peter 3:7 -- Instructions to husbands: understanding, honor, and equal inheritance
Mike presents the husband's obligations that balance the wife's submission.
Husbands are told to: (1) live with wives in an understanding way, (2) show honor to the woman as the 'weaker vessel,' and (3) recognize wives as co-heirs of the grace of life. There is also a threat: 'so that your prayers may not be hindered.'
← Previous
Submission is limited to 'your own husband,' not all men
Next →Weaker vessel refers to physical body, not lesser personhood
