Ephesians 5:25-33 -- instructions to husbands: self-sacrificial love like Christ
Mike teaches through the husband's instructions.
Husbands are told to love their wives as Christ loved the church: self-sacrificially, for her benefit (sanctification and holiness, not just happiness). The standard is 'happy wife happy life' is wrong -- it should be spiritual well-being. Husbands should love wives as their own bodies, nourish and cherish her. Distinguishes 'felt benefits' from 'real benefits.'
