Proverbs 31 woman as model of wife with real authority and independence
Mike uses Proverbs 31 to show the ideal wife is not micromanaged.
Key points from Proverbs 31: (1) 'the heart of her husband trusts her' (v.11) -- micromanagement is the opposite of trust, (2) she takes charge of work independently (vv.13-15), (3) she 'considers a field and buys it' (v.16) -- making financial/business decisions using her own judgment, essentially an entrepreneurial pursuit. Husband is still the head, but she operates with significant independence.
