Titus 2:3-10 refutes the 'careful balancing act' theory about Ephesians 5
Mike uses Titus 2 to show Paul doesn't always balance instructions to both sexes.
Titus 2 has extensive instructions to young married women (love husbands, be self-controlled, working at home, submissive to husbands) but only one verse to young men ('be self-controlled'). There's no corresponding instruction to young men to love their wives self-sacrificially. This shows Paul doesn't feel compelled to carefully balance every instruction -- undermining the theory that Ephesians 5's longer husband section proves mutual submission.
