Presenting the egalitarian case for Huldah's prominence
Philip Payne says the priest chose to consult Huldah rather than her male contemporaries. Craig Keener (in 'Paul, Women, and Wives') says the king sending to and obeying her instructions indicates her authority, and she was 'probably the most prominent prophetic figure' in Josiah's reign even though Jeremiah had begun his early ministry. The egalitarian point: she was chosen over Jeremiah, Zephaniah, Nahum, and Habakkuk.
