Aimee Byrd's reinterpretation of Barak's request
Byrd (p. 79) says Barak has earned a bad reputation but 'these words are wise and full of faith.' Mike responds: God told Barak to go and he said 'I won't' — that's not wisdom or faith. There's clearly a rebuke: 'the road you are going will not lead to your glory, for the Lord will sell Sisera into the hands of a woman.'
