How the testicle view does NOT fit 1 Corinthians 11: five additional problems
Mike presents his own challenges to the view from the passage itself.
(1) No connection to Paul's primary concern of headship. (2) If genitalia exposure, coverings should be required at all times, not just worship. (3) Verse 5 analogy (uncovered = shaved) doesn't work if exposed genitalia = having none. (4) Paul gives multiple other arguments (headship, creation, glory, nature) with testicles only appearing in one word of verse 15. (5) The entire passage is fully explained without the testicle interpretation. Preston Massie: 'Martin's article cannot be taken seriously.' Dionysius of Halicarnassus uses peribolaion for a cloak pulled over one's head.
