Overview of the egalitarian vs. complementarian debate

5 Views on “Women Keep Silent" (1 Cor 14_35-36): Women in Ministry part 11 00:01:33 – 00:02:35

Mike frames the two polar opposite positions on women in ministry as context for the five views he will present.

The egalitarian side holds there are no role differences for men and women in the body of Christ (and some extend this to marriage), while the complementarian/patriarchal side holds that men and women are equal in dignity but have different roles related to authority in church government and marriage. Both sides approach 1 Corinthians 14:34-35 very differently.
