I have some questions for those who believe that Adam calling his wife “woman” means that he took authority over her. Can you please tell me why God would leave such an important doctrine to private interpretation? Why didn’t God clearly say that He was giving Adam authority over Eve and why didn’t God clearly say that Adam was to take this authority by “naming” Eve? Why would God clearly tell us that Adam was to have authority over the animals but then leave it to us to figure out, assume, postulate, etc that Adam had some kind of authority over the woman that was or was not like the authority Adam had over the animals? Is God not able to be clear on this important area of delegated authority? If not why not?
Sorry for just popping in for a bit, but another busy day. I look forward to the comp answers.
