The doctrine of original sin is one of the cornerstones of Catholicism, Lutheranism and Calvinism.

I no longer believe this doctrine because I fail to see how it can be legitimately supported by the Biblical record in context.

The original sin doctrine you are talking about is the doctrine that mankind has inherited Adam’s sin. That is not correct. You may also be interested in my next post. You are right that the doctrine of the fall and how it affected us is very germane to the issue of whether Eve should be punished further for her sin, etc. I think it will be a lively discussion on the topic. I will work on it tonight and see how far I get.
