eg. nn’s post about “perfecting” his wife. Based on her personal testimony of a clear “before and after” I though Cheryl might be able to grasp how a husband through choosing to follow the unilateral instructions to husbands to “nourish and cherish” to understand and to live with and value as a co-heir has a part in bringing his wife to perfection.

I do not believe that Scripture has a “role” for a husband to “perfect” his wife. I believe that this “role” belongs to the Holy Spirit.

However I do believe that a husband is able to empower his wife to use her gifts and to give her room and opportunity to grow to be the best that she can be in Christ. The husband has no part in her being a joint-heir but I do believe that he can respect her place of equality as an heir and treat her in a way worthy of a sister in Christ while loving her in a special way as his own body.
