Is this a strong enough statement to conclude on its own that babies are innocent of all sin? Really, really good question. The Bible gives evidence that God does not charge the son with the sin of the Father, yet the son may not be considered innocent. Deuteronomy 24:16 (NASB) 16 “Fathers shall not be put to death for their sons, nor shall sons be put to death for their fathers; everyone shall be put to death for his own sin. Also the term used for the innocent children means blood free of blame:
