They have not been given to Jesus. He also reads John 6:27 at the beginning but does not explain or work through the promise that Jesus makes to the crowd. So James White is not seeing that the elect are in the crowd and that they are promised life as part of the crowd. He sees them as the unelect who cannot come to Jesus.
