If the only cost is 2 weeks of antibiotics, it would seem rational to take them even if there was a very small chance of it being the curable case, if only to rule it out.

This is my thought as well.

Often people don’t talk about their own stress-related problems in the open.  It is “safe” to come into the open for those who are not using their name.  I do value openness because it is helpful to many.  I want this blog to be a safe place for all to share, even me.
