It was an interesting day for me. I was a “go-for” girl especially since the back yard was so dug up, I was the only one who was outside the “hole” that could run for things. We had two surprises. The first was hitting the 1939 sewer line and breaking it. We were planning to replace it – eventually. Know what happens when you break a vintage sewer line? Well some things don’t work.

The second surprise was finding an old buried oil tank that we didn’t know was there. Thank the Lord there were no leaks in the tank and the excavator was able to get it out. The environmental guy who came to test the soil didn’t even know what should be done with it. I guess we find out tomorrow.
