Actually that is a tradition that has been circulating in the church but it isn’t true.

Paul instructed through Titus:

Titus 2:4 (NAS)
4 so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children,

I do agree with everything else that you say about mutual submission and a general command to love one another.
