Jesus is both man and God. As husband of the church he is the resurrected man. And I am wondering if we are making a mistake by using “over” instead of “of”. He is head “of” the church, not head “over” the church. He puts all things under His feet (and we are His feet) so that all things are under the body. The “over” comes in regards to everything else and the “of” is in regards to His body. Make sense?
