Paul warns not to go beyond what is written (1Co 4:6) and says even if he himself an angel preaches another gospel, it is to be rejected (Ga 1:8). Therefore, the RCC distinctives prove themselves false because the very claim to develop doctrine ends up corrupting the gospel.
