@xforumuk @travismsnow Genesis uses distinct verbs for create vs assign function. If the sun already existed, Genesis wouldn’t say “God made the two great lights… and placed them…” (Ge 1:16-17). The verb asah (“made”) here is consistent with creative action, not merely assigning a function.
