@ClintHumfrey @pauldirks How do we know if aner is generic “man” or specific to male only? For example, why doesn’t Paul specifically exclude women in 1Ti 3 by saying “must not be a woman”? Why does he use τὶς in v1 which could refer to any male or female? Why doesn’t he use male pronouns?
