@ravensfoodblog @MikeWingerii While it’s true that Paul, Philo, and Josephus addressed different audiences, it doesn’t preclude Paul from utilizing an older term which better his purpose. Just as modern speakers might use an archaic word to convey a particular nuance, Paul could have done something similar.
