Matthew 25:14-30

The Parable of the Talents teaches that every servant is accountable for using the gifts entrusted to them. The master distributes "to each according to his own ability" (v.15) — the distribution is sovereign, individual, and based on capacity. The servant who buried his talent was condemned — not commended for caution. Jesus' warning is clear: failing to use what God has given is wicked and lazy (v.26). When applied to spiritual gifts, this parable challenges any theology that tells gifted women to bury their talents. If the Holy Spirit distributes a teaching gift to a woman (1 Cor 12:11), and she is told not to use it, who bears the responsibility? Those who forbid her from using her God-given gift may be the ones burying the talent — and the master's judgment falls on those who do not invest what they have been given.
