Incredible. I think evangelicals will end up splitting over this issue.
It is an attempt to re-establish a Magisterium, a supposed infallible teaching authority, similar to the Pharisees.
I see Christian history as declining from the second century onwards as more and more truth was lost, until the reformation which started to restore some truth to the church. As Isee the truth of woman as elders being lostin tha second century, it is very exciting to me to see this truth being restored.
