Male-only eldership was not debated throughout church history. This is a very new debate, and any brand new theology is at least a red flag. The one exception to male-only high spiritual roles is prophecy, which women could participate in. Pillar 2 is thoroughly and consistently taught in scripture, not based on one verse.
