1 Peter 3:7 — mistreating wives hinders prayers; women as 'weaker vessel' but full heirs
Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13
01:23:38 – 01:25:43
Mike shows the practical consequences of violating Pillar 3.
1 Peter 3:7: 'Husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way, showing honor to the woman as the weaker vessel, since they are heirs with you of the grace of life, so that your prayers may not be hindered.' The 'weaker vessel' refers to physical weakness and lower authority role in marriage, but NOT lesser value. If husbands don't treat wives as full co-heirs, their prayers before God will be hindered. This is a threat — not just abuse is ruled out, but simply being inconsiderate is also ruled out.
