Overly restricting women creates theologically weak women — cost of safety
Everything Women Can and Can't Do According to the Bible: Women in Ministry part 13
03:16:33 – 03:18:05
Mike warns about unintended consequences of over-restriction.
Mike has seen women's ministries where women could only do testimonies, not teach the Bible — creating theologically weak women. Serious women felt the women's ministry was 'blah.' There's a cost to over-restriction: it limits ministry AND the spiritual development of women. The 'side of safety' (more restrictions) is also the side that could limit ministry and development. A woman taught she'll never express theological skill won't study theology as much. Be aware of consequences on both sides.
