Mike evaluates and rejects the view that bearing children contributes to women's spiritual salvation.
This view takes sozo as spiritual salvation and teknogonia as the literal act of having children, reading: 'Women will be saved by bearing children.' Mike strongly rejects this: (1) It directly contradicts Paul's constant teaching of justification by faith alone, not by works (Rom 3:28, Eph 2:8-9, Gal 2:16); (2) It would mean childless women or single women cannot be saved; (3) Paul explicitly praises singleness in 1 Cor 7; (4) If we take dia + genitive as instrumental cause ('by means of'), we get a works-based salvation that Paul spends entire letters refuting; (5) Mike uses an analogy of being taken out of context to illustrate how Paul's clear teaching elsewhere should inform how we read this ambiguous verse — you don't let the unclear change the clear.
