Genesis 2-3 is already in Paul's mind, making Genesis 3:15 the natural next reference

ALL The Debates Over 1 Tim 2_11-15: Women in Ministry part 12 (it took me a year to make this) 10:34:54 – 10:36:24

Mike argues that Paul's appeal to Genesis in vv.13-14 makes a Genesis 3:15 reference in v.15 perfectly natural.

Paul references: Genesis 2 creation order (v.13 — Adam formed first), Genesis 3 fall/deception (v.14 — Eve was deceived and became a transgressor). The next relevant Genesis passage is Genesis 3:15 — the promise that the seed of the woman will crush the serpent. Paul moves from creation to fall to salvation — a perfectly logical and characteristically Pauline theological progression. He sees not only Eve's creation, deception, and transgression (all from Genesis 2-3) but also Eve's salvation connected to the same OT passages.
