Reason 1: Every generation assumes it is the last generation

Throughout church history, people have believed they lived in the final generation. Example: Martin Luther identified the Pope as the Antichrist partly because he believed he was in the last days. Mike candidly shares that as a young believer he wondered whether to go to school or plan for marriage given the imminence of the rapture. The problem is practical: people forgo planning (college, retirement, family) based on a belief that every prior generation also held and was wrong about. This generates a question: why are you right when they were wrong?
