Reason 2: Future prophecy is extremely challenging — Revelation requires knowledge of the whole Old Testament

End of the World Predictions and Why They're Wrong 00:41:14 – 00:42:45

Second reason people are vulnerable to false predictions.

Revelation has more references to the Old Testament than any other New Testament book. Responsible interpretation requires familiarity with Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and especially the prophets (Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel). Because this is hard, people defer to someone who sounds confident. Mike's counsel: it is better to admit ignorance about how a prophecy will be fulfilled than to adopt someone else's speculative system on a life-changing topic.

Was God’s Wrath Satisfied in Christ or Paid in Hell?

Was God’s wrath satisfied in Christ? If so then how can sinners suffer God’s wrath in hell? This question is one that is often asked by Calvinists to those who do not hold to the teaching of Calvinism.
