Reason 4: We see 'fulfillment' everywhere — vague general events matching vague prophetic categories creates false confirmation

End of the World Predictions and Why They're Wrong 00:43:49 – 00:45:53

Fourth reason people fall for false predictions.

Mike gives a personal example: he downloaded an earthquake tracking app and was struck by how many earthquakes occurred — but asks whether earthquakes actually increased or just his awareness did. In the modern information environment, awareness of geopolitical and natural disasters is massively amplified. When general ideas ('there will be earthquakes') match general events ('there was an earthquake somewhere'), people feel a constant low-grade sense of prophetic fulfillment. The corrective: demand clear, specific fulfillment of clear, specific passages. Vague category matching is not prophetic evidence.
