Belleville's interpretation #2: translate 'he shall rule' as 'it shall rule' (neuter) -- the woman's own desire will rule over her, removing the husband's authority entirely.

Belleville's alternative translation of Gen 3:16

Belleville also proposes translating the pronoun as neuter 'it' instead of 'he,' making the verse mean a woman's desire for her husband will rule over (control) her. This removes the husband from any authority role. Mike notes this is technically possible in Hebrew but not natural or likely. Craig Blomberg responds that 'he shall rule' is a much more natural reading. Mike surveyed 31 translations and none use the neuter 'it.'
