Q&A — Why did none of the resurrected dead (Lazarus, etc.) speak about the afterlife?

Responding to Catholic Apologists on Purgatory 00:57:35 – 00:58:37

Question on what those raised from the dead could reveal about life after death

Mike notes we don't actually know that none of them spoke about it — only that it wasn't recorded. Speculative reasons: God may not want us to know; it may be too hard to describe; God may want us to be surprised; or too much detail might make it easier for people to fake near-death experiences. He notes Paul 'heard things it would be wrong to say aloud' (2 Cor 12) — a hint that some things cannot or should not be communicated.
