Nympha in Colossians 4:15 -- Lynn Cohick's claim she led a house church
Mike begins examining individual women named in the NT, starting with Nympha.
Lynn Cohick (described as a well-known, well-respected egalitarian scholar, p. 186 of Discovering Biblical Equality) claims Colossians 4:15 'speaks of a woman leading a house church that meets in her home' and that 'there's little doubt that she's an important person' since Paul singles her out for special acknowledgment. Mike reads the verse: 'Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea and to Nympha and the church in her house' and asks how this implies leadership.
