Mark 13:1-4 — the disciples' question is bigger than just the temple's destruction

Disciples marvel at the temple; Jesus predicts total destruction (stone on stone — literally fulfilled in AD 70). Their question in v.4 is 'when will these things be, and what will be the sign when all these things are about to be accomplished?' Mike argues 'all these things' implies more than just the temple's fall, suggesting either Jesus mentioned other things not recorded, or the disciples had Old Testament prophecies in mind about what would happen in the messianic age.
