Egalitarian argument: 'fellow worker' (synergos) and 'labor' (kopiao) mean leadership
Mike identifies a major branch of egalitarian argumentation about Pauline terminology.
Egalitarians argue that when Paul calls someone a 'fellow worker' or 'co-laborer,' it means they are leaders in the church, not just people who do ministry. Linda Belleville states: 'that Paul calls women laborers and fellow workers means that what is said of other leaders must apply also to them.' Craig Keener and many other egalitarians push this same argument.
