Side 4 & 5: Gore culture and violent/horror costumes are morally problematic regardless of satanic connection
Mike's fourth and fifth points address costumes and gore
Mike recalls dressing as Freddy Krueger as a child — a mass murderer character — and points out that children imitating serial killers, axe murderers, or demonic figures is not healthy. He argues this is a symptom of walking in spiritual darkness: a desensitization to evil. The normalization of gory, horror-film, and demonic imagery around Halloween reflects a conscience that has been dulled. Christians who feel no conviction about dressing as demonic figures are showing a spiritual warning sign. At best this is ignorance; at worst it is wickedness.
