Jeremiah 10:10-15: The climax of the passage — idols vs. the living God
The passage reaches its theological conclusion
Verses 10-15 contrast the living God — who made the heavens and earth, controls the weather, speaks in thunder — with lifeless idols that have no breath, are worthless, a work of delusion, and will perish at the time of their punishment. Every goldsmith is put to shame. This is pure anti-idolatry polemic. There is no Christmas tree in this passage anywhere. The subject is clearly carved and decorated idol images representing false deities.
