Philippians 3:4-9 — Paul counts his pre-conversion Jewish credentials as 'rubbish' compared to knowing Christ

Paul lists his credentials: circumcised on the eighth day, tribe of Benjamin, Hebrew of Hebrews, Pharisee, zealous, blameless under the law. He then says everything he gained he counted as loss for Christ, calling it all 'rubbish' (skubala). He explicitly says he no longer wants 'a righteousness of my own that comes from the law' but 'the righteousness from God that depends on faith.' This is a direct refutation of the merit-based framework Ben articulates.
