Philippians 3:10-11 — resurrection is found only through Christ, not through Jewish law-keeping
Continuing the Philippians 3 passage
Paul says he wants to know Christ 'and the power of his resurrection' and attain to 'the resurrection from the dead.' The Jewish hope is bodily resurrection and restoration — not merely an ethereal afterlife. Paul's point is that this Jewish hope is found only in Messiah, not through law observance. Mike applies this to Ben: you're seeking righteousness by your goodness — that is the wrong method.
