John 20:24-29 — Thomas passage: 'not seen' does not mean 'without evidence'
Mike addresses the Thomas story as the third counter-passage.
Jesus says, 'Blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed' (John 20:29). Mike argues this is being misread as 'blessed are those who have no evidence.' Seeing is one kind of evidence, but not all evidence is seeing. He uses the analogy of trusting a paycheck will arrive based on past reliability — one has evidence without presently seeing the check.
