Romans 1:19-20 — creation itself is the evidence through which God is perceived; not faith without evidence
Mike addresses the second counter-passage sometimes used to support faith-without-evidence.
Romans 1:19-20 says God's invisible attributes — eternal power and divine nature — 'have been clearly perceived ever since the creation of the world in the things that have been made.' Mike argues this is the opposite of faith without evidence: belief in God is grounded in the perceptible evidence of creation. The created world is itself the evidence. He calls this 'common sense' — it takes active programming to look at creation and not infer a creator. Romans 1 says people are 'without excuse' precisely because the evidence is accessible.
