Argument from contingency explained: every contingent thing has an explanation; the collection of all contingent things requires a non-contingent (necessary) being as explanation
Cameron explains his favored philosophical argument for God's existence
Cameron explains that contingent things (things that could have not existed) all have explanations for their existence. When you take the entire collection of contingent things together, the only possible explanation for that collection must be a non-contingent, necessary being — one that exists by its own nature. Stage one of the argument arrives at a necessary being; stage two argues this necessary being is God. He references a 4-part podcast series with Dr. Josh Rasmussen on the argument.
