Mike identifies equivocation in Wright's argument about apostle

Were Women Apostles in the New Testament? Women in Ministry part 5 00:47:27 – 00:48:29

Mike charges Wright with a logical fallacy.

Wright equivocates on the meaning of 'apostle': if apostle only means 'witness to the resurrection,' then yes, women were apostles before any men. But does every resurrection witness have the authority of the apostles in the official sense? Mike says no. By making Mary an 'apostle,' Wright has degraded the meaning of apostle to where it is no longer relevant to the women in leadership debate. 'Apostle to the apostles' uses the word in two very different senses in the same phrase.
