Mike's rebuttals to Payne: practical solutions and Jesus' counter-cultural behavior

Were Women Apostles in the New Testament? Women in Ministry part 5 01:01:47 – 01:02:48

Mike offers multiple objections to Payne's cultural argument.

Mike argues: (1) Why not have women apostles in their own cluster? Apostles were already grouped in pairs; (2) Why not meet women only in certain settings? (3) Jesus DID speak alone with the Samaritan woman at the well — every egalitarian acknowledges this was counter-cultural. The disciples were uncomfortable with it. If Jesus willingly broke convention there, why couldn't he break it for women apostles?
