Payne's argument about married women's family obligations

Were Women Apostles in the New Testament? Women in Ministry part 5 01:03:48 – 01:04:49

Mike addresses Payne's second cultural objection.

Payne argues married women could hardly leave their families for the three-year period, and single women would be even more suspicious. Mike rebuts: (1) married men DID leave their families — the disciples were generally married and left for long periods; (2) many women DID follow Jesus from Galilee (Scripture says so); (3) these women may have had grown children or no children; (4) Jesus expected commitment above family ties.
