119 Ministries and others cite Genesis 26:5 (Abraham kept God's commandments, statutes, and laws) to argue Abraham practiced the Mosaic Law. Winger argues this is impossible given Deuteronomy's clear statement that the Horeb covenant was not made with the fathers. Genesis 26:5 refers to whatever God personally revealed and commanded Abraham—not the formally codified Law of Moses that did not yet exist.
