Since women prophesied at mixed-gender gatherings and prophecy is a high role involving authority, women should also be allowed to teach and serve as elders.
Some egalitarians argue prophecy rivals eldership in authority (citing Craig Keener). If women can exercise this higher authority, the lesser authority of eldership should also be open to them.
