Romans 5:18-19 — 'one act of righteousness leads to justification for all men' — universal extent, not universalism

Limited Atonement, Universalism and why I disagree with both. 00:24:43 – 00:26:46

Winger examines Romans 5:18-19 as another text supporting universal atonement but not universalism.

Romans 5:18: 'as one trespass led to condemnation for all men, so one act of righteousness leads to justification and life for all men.' The parallel structure (Adam's sin → condemnation for all / Christ's obedience → justification for all) is about extent of provision, not universal automatic application. One cannot limit the second 'all men' to the elect while accepting the first 'all men' means every human (since everyone is condemned by Adam). Application is conditioned on receiving: v.17 says 'those who receive the abundance of grace.'
